Terms of Service

Informational use only

Bushline is an independent planning resource for New Zealand's Great Walks. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Department of Conservation (DOC) or any track operator named on this site.

No booking services

We do not sell, process, or guarantee any Great Walks booking, transport, or guided trip. All bookings must be made directly with the relevant provider — DOC for the ten shared Great Walks, or the Hump Ridge Track's own operator for that track.

Accuracy

We aim to keep distances, day-counts, booking mechanics, and seasonal information accurate and current, sourced from DOC's own published material. Track conditions, prices, opening dates, and facilities change over time and outside our control — always verify current details directly with DOC or the relevant operator before finalising any trip or booking.

Assumption of risk

Multi-day tramping in remote and alpine terrain carries genuine risk, including weather, terrain, and wildlife hazards described on this site. You are responsible for your own trip planning, gear, fitness, and safety decisions. Bushline is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from a trip planned using information on this site.
